Dawn Van Dyck
Dawn brings 20 years of diverse business and consulting experience to ClearRock. She has a degree in human resource management and a solid background in communications. For the past several years she has provided career coaching services to individuals for a national consulting firm as well as business and management consulting to entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses. Dawn has participated in the development of business plans and strategies for several consulting firms providing training and coaching on topics such as effective networking skills and ethics. She enjoys the opportunity to work with individuals and organizations to help them figure out what they do best and put plans in place to achieve their goals.

To do this, Dawn draws from her experience gained working in many different settings ranging from private companies with as few as 10 employees to large public companies in non-profit, corporate and agency settings. Dawn began her career working for The Christian Science Monitor as a radio reporter, editor and producer. After several years, she made a career transition into public relations and marketing, creating the roles of marketing director and later Vice President of corporate communications and administration. In this capacity, she was in charge of all aspects of human resources for her division. Dawn then moved to the agency side of public relations, serving as an account director for a large national firm, and then as a managing director/COO for a small regional firm, which she helped to triple in size. During this time, her primary role was as an internal consultant to the principal on business strategy, development and planning. Dawn also managed all aspects of human resources and operations. Throughout her career, Dawn has held management positions, which have always included hiring responsibilities.

Dawn is committed to volunteerism. An avid golfer, she is a long-time member of the Executive Women's Golf Association, a national not-for-profit organization for career-oriented women interested in golf. In addition, Dawn serves on the Board of Directors of North East All Retriever Rescue (NEARR), a non-profit, 501c (3) charitable, all-volunteer group that rescues and re-homes all types of retrievers (Labs, Goldens, etc.) in the northeastern United States.
